I arrived at Turntable Lab (LA) at 8pm. Red buckets filled with PBR and budweiser. free beer? ok! Peanut Butter Wolf got on the tables at about 7:40 and hit the spot with 45's, a definite treat for the funky soul listeners. By 9pm, i was super buzzed and happy. Dudley perkin's, Georgia Anne Muldrow (singer) hit the stage and rocked it like i was taken back to the 70's. I've never heard dudley perkin's songs till this night and i was satisfied. Most of his songs were layed over beats by madlib the beat konducta! Loved the free show and roscoe's #1 scoe's special. mmm mm

The Native Guns performd at GABAH on melrose. The crowd was definitely feel'n it. Good performance fellas! I registered a website on friday and can't wait to gather all teh content up and launch that motha(shut yo mouth). I will be hosting an art show within 2-3 months at galaxy gallery, ill keep you guys updated on that.

This week ill be hitting up a couple of locations around la for music shows and art.

cheel weekend

This had to be the most relaxing and laziest weekend this year. Beach bummed it on saturday. Sunday, we rolled out to LA for the Native Guns release party. The place was great venue (remy's) owned by a small filipino lady. It was an 8 dollar entrance fee that was well worth the art visuals, music and the good food (even though a plate cost 5 bucks) it was worth the dolla dolla.

I managed to get Bambu and Kiwi to climb up to the roof around sunset for a photoshoot. There were spoken word artists and music artists that performed before NG. The rooftop was right above patio where the audience stood. They had the whole set-up on the roof with lights and sound. At exactly 9pm, NG popped out of the shadows to perform a 1 hour solid set ranging from kiwi and bambu's older albums straight through the new Barrel Men album. The show was off the hook! Over all great performance, max capacity and music soul satisfaction.
